dren records is an independent record label based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The label started in 1997 near Baltimore in Sandy Spring, Maryland.  dren then moved to Washington, DC for a few years and has been based out of Philadelphia since 2001. 

 

dren specializes in music that is related to americana, alt-country, roots rock, power pop, folk, rockabilly and country.  Our primary formats are CD's and digital downloads. 

Albums released on dren records have appeared in Rolling Stone, Mojo, Uncut, Guitar World, Q Magazine, No Depression, CMJ, Goldmine, The Washington Post, The Big Takeover and RollingStone.com.  The music has been played on many radio stations in America and overseas, including NPR.
